Acta Marine has opened an office in Saint-Nazaire, France, off whose coast a 480 MW offshore wind project is being built, for which the company’s vessel Coastal Chariot recently supported the export cable pull-in operations.
Acta Marine said the move to open the office in Saint-Nazaire was in support of the growing offshore wind requirements in France. The local team in the new office will be assisting with marine support requirements.
The Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm, also known as Parc du Banc de Guérande, will comprise 80 GE Haliade 150-6 MW turbines scheduled to be operational in the summer of 2022.
Acta Marine owns and operates various vessels serving the offshore energy sector, including crew transfer vessels , barges , and construction support vessels (CSVs).
In 2018, the company ordered a new walk-to-work (W2W) construction support vessel, optimised for use in the offshore wind industry.
