Vos Prodect Joins Kaskasi Team

Dutch cable manufacturer Twentsche Kabel Fabriek (TKF) has awarded Vos Prodect Innovations with a contract to deliver Cable Hang-Off Systems for the Kaskasi offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. Vos Prodect Joins Kaskasi Team

Dutch cable manufacturer Twentsche Kabel Fabriek (TKF) has awarded Vos Prodect Innovations with a contract to deliver Cable Hang-Off Systems for the Kaskasi offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

VPI’s Cable Hang-Off System (HOS) will be used in the installation of 38 Siemens Gamesa SG 8.0-167 DD Flex offshore wind turbines on the 342 MW wind farm.

The offshore work on the Kaskasi wind farm is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2021. RWE, the owner and developer of the project, plans to fully commission the wind farm in 2022.

Our products will make a major contribution to reduced installation time and a greener world.”

TKF is in charge of delivering the 33 kV inter-array cables for the wind farm.

Under the contract with Seaway 7, TKF will manufacture and deliver 52 kilometres of 33 kV aluminium-core inter-array grid cables with different cross-sections. In addition, the company will provide the associated cable accessories for this project.

The inter-array cables will be installed by Seaway 7.
