New Jersey’s Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) has kicked off the New Jersey Offshore Wind Safety Training Challenge.
The winner will get a USD 3 million grant to help establish a GWO-accredited safety training program and facility to prepare New Jersey workers for jobs in offshore wind.

The goal of the challenge is to develop and deliver a Basic Safety and Sea Survival Training program, as well as establish a training facility (or facilities) for all program modules.
New Jersey-based community colleges and training providers, including labor unions, non-profit or community organizations, and private training providers, are invited to submit proposals.
Proposals must be submitted no later than 30 April by 5:00 p.m. local time. The winner is expected to be announced by 15 June.
This first-of-its king training program in New Jersey is supported by the NJ Economic Development Authority (NJEDA).
