Red Rock Marine has won a contract to deliver a 30T compact telescopic offshore crane for OHT’s semi-submersible offshore wind foundation installation vessel Alfa Lift.
The 30T compact telescopic offshore crane will assist Alfa Lift’s main crane, supplied by Liebherr, during monopile installation.
Red Rock plans to deliver the crane to a European yard within the first quarter of 2022.
Alfa Lift is currently being built at the China Merchant Heavy Industry (CMHI) shipyard in China, under an order received from OHT in July 2018.
First steel was cut on 1 March 2019 and in November the same year the vessel was selected to work on its first project which includes the transport and installation of foundations at the Dogger Bank wind farm in the UK.
The 216.3m Alfa Lift is expected to be delivered at the end of the year or in early 2022.
