Parkwind has selected 24Sea for the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the structural health monitoring systems on the wind turbine foundations at the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm in Germany.
The 257 MW offshore wind farm will feature 27 TP-less monopiles, with the towers to be be connected directly to the monopiles. 24Sea will install the monopile monitoring equipment at Steelwind’s fabrication site in Germany and then complete the installation and commissioning of the structural health monitoring setup offshore.

By means of these future assessments the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm has another advantage to be part of the solution to deliver green/blue energy at lower costs” , said Gert De Sitter , co-founder and general manager of 24Sea.
The Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm is located in the Baltic Sea, in the coastal waters of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where 27 Vestas 9.5 MW offshore wind turbines will be installed.
The TP-less, XXL monopiles that will support the turbines will be the largest monopiles ever installed in Europe.
Parkwind reached financial close on the 257 MW offshore wind farm, its first project in Germany, earlier this month.
Arcadis Ost 1 is scheduled to be fully operational in 2023.
