RWE, Shell, Gasunie and Equinor have signed a declaration of intent to further intensify their collaboration on the AquaSector project, the first large-scale German offshore hydrogen park and part of the AquaVentus offshore wind-to-hydrogen initiative.

AquaSector involves installing approx. 300 MW electrolyser capacity to produce up to 20,000 tonnes of offshore green hydrogen per year, using offshore wind energy, and transporting hydrogen via the AquaDuctus pipeline to Heligoland, starting in 2028.
