German energy company RWE has decided to reorganise its renewables businesses and manage the global offshore wind and onshore wind/PV businesses in separate divisions.
Sven Utermöhlen will be responsible for the Offshore Wind division, and Silvia Ortín Rios will be in charge of Onshore Wind/PV.

I am certain that, under their leadership, we will implement our growth ambitions in the offshore and onshore businesses even more rigorously.”
To date, Sven Utermöhlen has been COO of the global offshore wind business of RWE Renewables.
RWE has several operational offshore wind farms across Europe, including the UK and Germany, with more under construction or under development.
In the UK, the developer is building the 860 MW Triton Knoll offshore wind farm, which will soon be completed, and the 1.4 GW Sofia project which recently entered the construction phase.
Four of the company’s extension projects in the UK are already beginning public consultation: Gwynt y Môr, Galloper, Greater Gabbard and Rampion.
RWE said it aimed to invest EUR 5 billion net in renewable energy from 2020 until 2022 and to grow its global renewables portfolio to more than 13 GW of net capacity.
