Rostock-based company EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH has received an order from the Swedish energy group Vattenfall to produce 41 monopiles for Vesterhav Syd and Vesterhav Nord wind farms in the Danish North Sea.
The contract was signed on 19 November 2021, EEW SPC said.

Between April 2022 and August 2022, EEW SPC will process a total of around 25,500 tons of steel for the order.

Even if the COVID numbers are currently rising sharply, we have managed to bring the contract negotiations to a successful conclusion through having online meetings. Earlier this month, Vattenfall ordered the transition pieces for the two wind farms at Denmark’s Bladt Industries.
Vesterhav Syd and Vesterhav Nord have a combined capacity of 344.4 MW. Vattenfall plans to commission the two wind farms at the end of 2023.
