Ørsted has awarded integrated service provider Swire Energy Services (SES) a routine maintenance campaign contract covering Irish Sea offshore wind farms for summer 2022.
Under the new contract, SES will provide services including blade maintenance and the provision of service operation vessel (SOV) and crew transfer vessel (CTV) logistics for two of Ørsted’s wind farms off the coast of Cumbria.
Ørsted’s wind farms located off the coast of Cumbria are Barrow , Burbo Bank and Burbo Bank Extension , Walney 1&2, Walney Extension , and West of Duddon Sands .
According to SES, the contract is one of the first major blade service scopes the company has won since it acquired wind service company ALL NRG in August 2021 and the establishment of its Blade+ product range in November.
Last year, Ørsted awarded SES another contract for the provision of helideck services and helicopter refueling system services for the Hornsea One offshore wind farm in the UK Southern North Sea.
