Navantia is setting up Navantia UK, a subsidiary in the United Kingdom for which the Spanish company says reinforces its commitment to its UK industrial partners in shipbuilding and the offshore wind energy sector.
“Navantia UK is a step forward in Navantia’s support of the UK National Shipbuilding Strategy and Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution” , the company said. “Navantia UK will be well placed to work with UK industry to explore the promising opportunities that exist in the offshore energy sector in the UK”.
The company highlighted that its UK subsidiary’s activities will rely on partnerships with local industries across the country.
The Spain-based offshore wind foundation manufacturer has been involved in several projects in the UK, including East Anglia One , Moray East and Hywind Scotland and Kincardine floating wind farms.
The company has also recently launched Navantia Seanergies, one of whose strategic markets is the UK, one of the leading countries in the world in the development and use of offshore wind energy.
Navantia Seanergies was created with the aim of promoting Navantia’s increasing activity related to green energies and is focused on offshore wind and hydrogen.
