The campaign was conducted off the coast of San Bartolomé de Tirajana in the Canary Islands, where Greenalia expects to install its first floating wind farm.

The results of this campaign have confirmed the analysis carried out within the Environmental Impact Study (EIA), prepared in 2020, and has also allowed obtaining a greater knowledge of the biodiversity of the seabed, according to the developer.
The geophysical survey was performed by the Canary Islands-based company ECOS.
The completion of the geophysical campaign should enable Greenalia to proceed with the design of the floating structures with greater precision.

Gofio floating offshore wind farm is in the most advanced stage of development, after having obtained the authorisation in terms of aeronautical easements from AESA (State Aviation Safety Agency) in December 2021.
The Parque Eólico Gofio project, which will comprise four 12.5 MW wind turbines on floating foundations, is expected to produce enough energy to supply more than 70,000 homes.
Greenalia submitted a planning application for the floating wind farm in the first half of 2020.
The other four new projects the company plans to build are called Dunas, Mojo, Cardon and Guanche, and are also located offshore the Gran Canarian South-East coast, with each project also expected to have 50 MW of capacity.
