Baltic Power plans to carry out a prequalification for tendering covering several equipment supplies and services to support the offshore construction activities on the 1.2 GW Baltic Power wind farm in the Polish Baltic Sea.
The services and equipment shall be provided for the offshore construction period of the offshore wind farm, which is planned to be conducted between 2024 and 2026, Baltic Power, the joint venture between Poland’s PKN Orlen and Canada’s Northland Power, said.
The delivery of the services and equipment covers aids to navigation, weather buoys, a guard vessel, a crew transfer vessel (CTV), vessel audits, personal protection equipment, weather forecasting services, manpower resources including on- and offshore client representatives and offshore technicians, and a temporary office facility.
In order to be considered for an invitation, interested parties will need to demonstrate a track record for the delivery of services and equipment for offshore or similar onshore construction EPCI projects as described above, Baltic Power said. The companies will also need to deliver a company presentation and relevant references, together with the confirmation of interest.
The interested parties have until 10 June to submit their bids.
The internal bidder prequalification process will end in July and the contract implementation will be carried out between January 2024 and November 2025.
Baltic Power will comprise around 70 wind turbines located about 22 kilometres north off the Baltic coastline, near Łeba and Choczewo.
The project is expected to enter construction in 2023 and be completed in 2026.
