EnBW He Dreiht GmbH has issued a contract notice seeking setup and operation of marine coordination during the construction phase of the 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The contract covers the provision of qualified marine coordinators in various shift systems, and marine coordinator assistance, as well as necessary VTMS software and hardware during the construction phase.
The deployment of the marine coordinators will take place at the EnBW Offshore office in Hamburg, or optionally at the contractor’s premises, starting around March 2024. Preparatory work is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The tender remains open until 18 November.
The zero-subsidy He Dreiht offshore wind farm is located some 90 kilometers northwest of the island of Borkum and about 110 kilometres west of Heligoland. It has a grid connection capacity of 900 MW and an excess capacity of 60 MW in order to use the connection capacity as efficiently as possible even when production is lower.
The wind farm will feature 64 Vestas 15 MW wind turbines to be installed by one of Cadeler’s O-class vessels, either Wind Osprey or Wind Orca .
The monopiles will be manufactured and delivered by Steelwind Nordenham , the transition pieces by the Sif-Smulders joint venture, all to be transported and installed by Heerema Marine Contractors .
Seaway 7 won the engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning (EPIC) contract with EnBW for the inter-array cables for the He Dreiht earlier this year.
The wind farm is expected to be fully commissioned by the end of 2025.
