Gwynt Glas Floating Wind Energy, a joint venture between EDF Renewables UK and DP Energy, has announced details of its first local supply chain event taking place on 1 March.
The event, which will be held at Parc y Scarlets, South Wales, is open to businesses interested in finding out about regional floating wind industry growth and participating in potential opportunities for the construction and operation of Gwynt Glas, a 1 GW offshore wind project in the Celtic Sea.

EDF Renewables UK and DP Energy revealed the Gwynt Glas floating offshore wind project in January 2022.
The developers announced more details about the 1,500-square-kilometre site search area, together with maps in April last year.
The Gwynt Glas floating wind farm is expected to provide power for approximately 927,400 homes and contribute a significant part to the Crown Estate’s ambitions for 4 GW of capacity in the Celtic Sea, according to EDF Renewables and DP Energy.
At the end of last year, the joint venture signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Associated British Ports (ABP) to investigate the potential opportunities for manufacturing, assembly, load-out, and servicing of the 1 GW project from both Port Talbot and Milford Haven.
