Uptime International AS (Uptime) has been awarded contracts from India-headquartered Cochin Shipyard for the supply of logistics systems to be included on Pelagic Wind Services’ newbuild Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs).
Under the two firm and four optional contracts, Uptime will supply complete logistics systems for personnel and cargo, each consisting of an all-electric 30-metre autonomous gangway with integrated 3D crane capability, mounted on an elevator tower to ensure step-less access between vessel and turbines.
A standalone high-capacity 3D crane will also be supplied as part of the system delivery. The project will commence immediately, Uptime said, with deliveries scheduled from the first quarter of 2025 and onwards.
The contract value for each delivery is approximately NOK 100 million (about EUR 9.13 million).
All vessels have been contracted by Pelagic Wind Services for worldwide operations.

In November 2022, Cyprus-headquartered Pelagic Partners made entry into the offshore wind market with a 2+2+2 newbuild order for CSOVs at Chochin Shipyard.
The vessels are based on Kongsberg’s UT 5519 HL-design and will have zero-emission capabilities powered by dual-fuel engines and hybrid propulsion.
Pelagic Partners also established Pelagic Wind Services (PWS) which is the exclusive commercial and technical manager for the fleet.
