RWE Offshore Wind has entered into an operations and maintenance (O&M) jack-up vessel framework agreement with Denmark-based Ziton.
Under the four-year agreement, Ziton will provide RWE’s offshore wind business with vessel, lifting, and auxiliary services for a minimum of 180 days of support every year.
The long-term partnership will cover all UK and European operational offshore wind assets of RWE that are accessible with Ziton’s fleet of jack-up vessels.
According to RWE, this will enable a standardised and lean approach to major component exchanges across the company’s portfolio and reduces price uncertainty in a tighter market environment.
Ziton’s jack-up fleet consists of four vessels, namely Wind Server , Wind , Wind Enterprise , and Wind Pioneer .

With our in-house capabilities and the new partnership, we will be able to improve our approach towards major component exchanges further and bring performance to the next level”, said Thomas Michael , Director Operations at RWE Offshore Wind.
RWE is one of the world’s leading offshore wind players, active across the entire value chain, from project conception and development to construction as well as operation and maintenance.
The company is in charge of the 342 MW Kaskasi offshore wind project, located off the German island Heligoland, which is feeding electricity into the grid since the end of last year.
RWE is also currently developing the 1.4 GW Sofia offshore wind farm in the UK, which is expected to enter construction in 2023 and be fully commissioned in 2026.
