VicGrid, a new body established by the government of the Australian state of Victoria that coordinates the overarching planning and development of the state’s renewable energy zones (REZ), has initiated early consultation on new transmission connections for offshore wind with an aim to select preferred transmission options or concepts by the end of this year.
