Denmark-based Copenhagen Energy has received support from Western Australia (WA) Government as it progresses with plans for its Leeuwin offshore wind farm. According to its developer, the Leeuwin wind farm has the capacity to deliver significant employment, with up to 14,500 jobs per GW during construction, and 200 during operation, as well as being the catalyst for the development of manufacturing and marine support services and regional development.
Besides Leeuwin, Copenhagen Energy has also submitted three project proposals in Australia, each for a 3 GW offshore wind farm.
