SeaRenergy has been awarded a contract by Iberdrola to provide inspection services, maintenance, and repair works on monopiles and transition pieces (TPs) as well as client representatives for all phases of the installation of the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in Germany.
SeaRenergy’s client representatives are involved in the installation of the monopiles and TPs, and will further support the seabed preparation, the cabling works, and the final installation of wind turbines, including towers and nacelles, said the German-based company.
The service includes all necessary inspection, maintenance, and repair work during the wind farm’s construction phase as well as the creation of risk assessments and method statements, handling tool and equipment logistics, project management, site coordination, and deployment of qualified offshore professionals.
The execution of the project scope started in April and will continue until the end of 2024.

The Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm is currently under construction in the Baltic Sea with the first monopiles already in place at the construction site, located northeast of the Rügen island off the Pomeranian coast.
The project encompasses an area of almost 43-square-kilometres and includes 50 Vestas 9.5 MW wind turbines in total, which will be installed in water depths of 40-45 metres.
Windar Renovables is responsible for the manufacturing of the transition pieces under a contract the company won in 2021.
Once operational, the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm will generate enough renewable electricity to supply over 475,000 households and will contribute to an annual reduction of approximately 800,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
