The 1,044 MW Hai Long project comprises two offshore wind farms, the 532 MW Hai Long 2 and the 512 MW Hai Long 3 and is being developed in three phases as Hai Long 2 is further split into two smaller offshore wind farms, the 300 MW Hai Long 2a and the 232 MW Hai Long 2b.
EEW’s contract for the 156 pin piles for the Hai Long project relates to Hai Long 2b and Hai Long 3 offshore wind farms, which have a combined installed capacity of 744 MW.

Hai Long’s Siemens Gamesa SG 14-222 DD wind turbines will be installed on three-legged jacket foundations which, for Hai Long 2b and Hai Long 3 are being manufactured by Samkang M&T and for Hai Long 2a by Century Iron & Steel Industrial (CIS) and Century Wind Power (CWP) . The pin piles for the Hai Long 2a part of the project are being delivered by CSBC .
The first pin piles at the Hai Long site, located 50-70 kilometres off the coast of Changhua County, are expected to be installed in March and mark the start of major offshore construction.
