The developers selected CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering (CDWE) for the transportation and installation of the 31 jacket foundations and the accompanying pin piles.
The foundation installation work was carried out by Green Jad e , the first Taiwan-built offshore wind installation vessel.
The offshore construction on the project started in March 2023 with the installation of pin piles for the jacket foundations, for which CDWE deployed DEME’s Apollo vessel.
The Zhong Neng offshore wind farm will comprise 31 Vestas V174-9.6 MW turbines, all of which are scheduled to be in operation in 2024.
CDWE has also been selected for the transportation and installation of the wind turbines at the Taiwanese project.
