Norway’s Glamox has secured three separate orders for LED lighting for the turbine foundation transition pieces for offshore wind farms in Taiwan and South Korea.

SK Oceanplant awarded Glamox a contract to provide 468 linear Glamox TL60-1200 LED luminaries and 52 Glamox RLX80 floodlights to light 52 transition pieces at the 1,044 MW Hai Long 2 and 3 offshore wind farms in Taiwan.

The installation of the lighting will be done by SK Oceanplant and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.

The second contract was awarded to Glamox by HSG Sungdong Shipbuilding of Korea to provide 636 Glamox MIR linear luminaries and 36 Glamox FL60 40W floodlights to light 36 transition pieces for the Greater Changhua 2b and 4 projects in Taiwan.

The installation will be carried out at the yard and is set for completion in the third quarter of 2025.

The 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 will comprise around 65 wind turbines with an individual output of 14 MW installed some 35-60 kilometers off the Changhua coast.
