Once completed, the project will be one of the UK’s largest offshore wind farms, and is anticipated that it will generate enough electricity to power over 1.6 million households.
“Upon completion, Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind will be one of the UK’s biggest wind farms stopping the equivalent of nearly two million tonnes of CO 2 from entering our atmosphere every year. In addition to addressing climate change, we have an opportunity to build our new renewable power generation in a way that minimises disruption and maximises the benefit to the UK,” said Jenner.
