Synthetic mooring solutions provider FibreMax has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RWE to advance the development and support of synthetic mooring technology for use in floating wind generation.
The Netherlands-based FibreMax said it aims to bring to the table its extensive knowledge and experience in the development, design and manufacturing of unique and patented synthetic mooring solutions.

The MoU outlines a shared commitment to research and development, as well as the exploration of innovative methods to further reduce the cost of mooring solutions for (ultra) deep water and local production opportunities.
