The service operation vessel (SOV) Wind of Hope has allided with a wind turbine of the Hornsea One wind farm in the UK.
According to a statement issued by Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA), the 26 crew members and 46 specialist personnel on board at the time of the accident suffered no injuries. There was also no water ingress, nor pollution reported.

The accident happened in the afternoon hours of 19 September and resulted in damage to the starboard side of the vessel above the waterline and the helideck, LDA said.
There was also some damage to the base of the turbine. Ørsted, the operator of the wind farm, has created an exclusion zone around the damaged turbine.
The Wind of Hope will now proceed to port for damage assessment.
All the relevant authorities have been informed and an investigation has started into the cause of the accident, LDA said.
Located in the North Sea off the east coast of England, the 1.2 GW Hornsea One became fully operational in January 2020.
The project comprises 174 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines and is generating enough energy to power over one million homes in the UK.
