The jack-up barge will be connected to an offshore substation (OSS) by two independent gangways and allow 24/7 access to the OSS.
The tender involves supplying and operating a fully crewed jack-up and providing all required services and organisation, including vessel preparation, updating of certificates, mobilisation/demobilisation, any needed maintenance work, as well as related offshore logistics services including supply runs to the base port, waste management, and vessel crew change.
The tender notice states that the contract duration is 540 days. 50Hertz is first running a period for submitting requests to participate until 22 January, with the invitations to submit tenders scheduled for 13 February.

While the contract value is not displayed in the public notice for the jack-up barge, the notice for air rescue services states the six-year contract 50Hertz is looking to award is worth EUR 72 million in total.
Starting on 1 July and until 30 June 2031, the contractor awarded under this tender will provide 24/7, year-round helicopter services for emergency and rescue situations in the Baltic Sea involving employees on the offshore platforms as well as wind turbines at operational and offshore wind farms currently under construction.
The contract includes a rescue helicopter crewed by aeronautical and medical personnel to rescue injured personnel from the platforms, wind turbines and from the installation and support vessels at any time during project construction and operation phases.
The offshore wind farms, platforms and vessels are located in the Baltic Sea, off the coast of Mecklenburg-Pomerania, and the location of the base is at the contractor’s choice with regard to the requirements set out in the tender documents.
The air rescue tender is open until 24 January.
