Van Oord will be installing the foundations. The company plans to deploy its offshore installation vessel Aeolus and heavy-lift installation vessel Svanen on the 1.5 GW Polish offshore wind project.
The monopiles will be supplied by German-based Steelwind Nordenham and the Navantia-Windar consortium .
Semco Maritime and PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C) will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, and commissioning of the offshore substations, while Orient Cable (NBO) will be delivering 170 kilometres of 66 kV subsea array cables that will be connecting the wind turbines to the offshore substations.
Seaway7 will transport and install the offshore substations at the site offshore Poland. Boskalis will carry out the transportation and installation of export and array cables under a contract signed with Ørsted and PGE in September 2023.

Construction work offshore will begin this year, after the removal of boulders from the seabed. In 2026, the partners will begin installing monopile foundations, export cables, and offshore substations.
After completing these stages, the installation of cables between the foundations and offshore substations will take place, while in 2027, the installation of wind turbines will commence.
Baltica 2 is expected to be fully commissioned by the end of 2027. With a joint capacity of 2.5 GW, the Baltica 2 and Baltica 3 projects will create the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm. Baltica 3 is planned to be fully operational by the end of the decade.
With its Offshore Wind Act, Poland has committed to installing 5.9 GW offshore wind by 2030, and 11 GW by 2040.
