Lincs Wind Farm Ltd has chosen Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Hull as one of its logistics bases for its Lincs Offshore Wind Farm.
Over the next few months, the port’s Albert and William Wright Docks will be the focal point for the storage and distribution of transition pieces installed as part of the wind turbine foundations for the new wind farm being developed in the Greater Wash area. The project is being assisted by the Lincs Wind Farm-operated jack-up barge ‘JB114’, which arrived at the port on 8 March and is expected to operate from the port for the next few months.
