The first of the total of 62 Vestas V174-9.5 MW wind turbines has been installed at the Changfang & Xidao offshore wind project in Taiwan, according to an update shared on social media by Dennis Sanou, CEO of the Changfang & Xidao Projects at Copenhagen Offshore Partners.

The installation vessel Bold Tern left the Port of Taichung in Taiwan last week, loaded with the first sets of turbines for the offshore wind project, after undergoing an upgrade at Keppel FELS yard in Singapore which included the installation of a new crane with a bigger lifting capacity, as well as additional improvements to the deck space and stability.
